Through a process of rapid gestures, layering, and reworking, Margaux (Ghent, 2003) constructs spaces that continuously expand, shift, and unfold. Depth plays a central role in her work: it is suggested, disrupted, and rebuilt, drawing the viewer into environments that feel both immersive and unstable. Forms move between the recognizable and the abstract, creating multiple readings and shifting points of view. Her paintings evoke spaces within spaces, where movement and spatial tension remain in constant flux. Rather than describing a place, they explore how space can be experienced and imagined.
